I’m Sarah, founder of Haus of Kalika with a mission to bring you your new favourite treasure.

Haus of Kalika was born from my love of travel (especially through the magical islands of Indonesia), where I fell head over heels for the character, history, and soul found in locally crafted pieces.  Every item in our store has been handpicked with love. Think vintage gems, handmade treasures, coastal dreams and one of a kind pieces that bring warmth and story into your home. While I adore the charm of vintage and handmade, you’ll also find a sprinkling of beautiful new pieces that fit right in with our soulful style.

Now, about the name – Haus of Kalika. It’s a little nod to my long time fascination with the goddess Kali (aka the original wild woman). She’s the fierce force of divine feminine energy, raw, powerful, creative, and unstoppable. Growing up, I loved the idea that she represents transformation, freedom, and the courage to smash through limitations. It felt like the perfect spirit to channel into this space.

Because so many of our pieces are handmade or vintage, two are rarely the same and that’s the beauty of it. You might spot a little imperfection here or there, but to me, that’s what makes them perfectly imperfect.

For those items that are a little extra loved (aka slightly damaged), I’ve created a special “imperfectly perfect” section on the site where you can snag them at a reduced price and give them the happy home they deserve.
